Source links are shown near live modules or in their “Sources checked” disclosure. Permanent chapters store their source list with every accepted version.
Structured geography
GeoNames identifiers, coordinates, administrative relationships, and structured country records establish place identity. Wikidata can add exact entity relationships such as notable people, institutions, and landmarks when the place match is unambiguous.
Reference context
Encyclopedic sources can supply background evidence, but the atlas does not republish their articles. Evidence is selected by section, rewritten into an original explanation, and checked against the supplied source record.
Current conditions
Weather and air-quality observations come from named data providers shown in the live panel. Travel risk uses linked official guidance where available. News candidates come from Google News discovery, require a separate SearXNG match, and retain a link to the original publisher path.
Source limitations
Coverage is uneven, especially for small towns and future events. An empty module means the evidence did not meet the current checks; it is not evidence that the category does not exist locally.
