Today's Atlas welcomes specific, source-supported corrections. Send the page URL, the disputed text or field, the reason it appears wrong, a reliable supporting source, and the date accessed to [email protected].
How reports are reviewed
We first confirm that the report concerns the correct country or city. We then compare the claim with primary, official, or otherwise authoritative evidence. Time-sensitive claims are checked against the date shown on the page. A report may be declined when the proposed source does not support the change or when reputable sources genuinely disagree.
What happens after acceptance
Structured facts are corrected at their source record where possible. Editorial text receives a new version and passes the same sanitization, evidence, and quality checks as newly generated content. Live widgets are refreshed instead of silently backdating a result.
Urgent safety errors
Put “Urgent safety correction” in the email subject. The atlas is not an emergency service; immediate hazards should also be reported to the relevant local authority or source agency.
